Joe Decker, founder of Gut Check Fitness, is an elite endurance athlete, U.S. Army veteran, and widely known as “The World’s Fittest Man.” After serving three years with the 10th Mountain Division, Joe graduated with a B.S. in Exercise Science and transformed his life from being overweight and battling addiction to breaking the Guinness World Record® for the 24-Hour Physical Fitness Challenge. His journey to health and fitness is a testament to resilience, inspiring thousands to overcome their own challenges.
Joe’s mission with Gut Check Fitness, established in 2006, is deeply rooted in his military background and personal experience, aiming to bring strength, resilience, and teamwork to each client. With a coaching philosophy grounded in real-world grit, Joe offers a unique brand of outdoor fitness that pushes clients to break past their perceived limits. Gut Check Fitness provides intense group classes, corporate wellness programs, and elite events like The Suck—a multi-day physical and mental endurance challenge inspired by the toughness Joe gained through his military service and athletic accomplishments.
